I didn't manage to really care about the protagonists? Both the love interests felt quite bland? Even though they have long conversations about each other, it feels like we know very little about them as people, outside of who they are in relation to each other (if it makes sense?)

Also, the book - from the first page to the epilogue - spans over 9 years yet it feels like everything happens very quickly and completely out of nowhere.
