I only have one complaint about this book, and that is that it is too short, but wanting more from an author or poet is hardly a bad thing, I suppose. Isabella J. Mansfield’s The Hollows of Bone is solid. From explorations of watching parents age and “mom life” to staring down an apathetic void, a reader feels lifted by the strength of Mansfield’s voice by the end.
