I can't put these books down, they are just so good that to put them down is physically difficult. I just have to know what happens next.

We met Vincent, an actor immortal with a problem drinking blood from a bag, in Tall, Dark, and Hungry. This is his story.

Someone is trying to destroy Vincent's career, his empire that he built himself, and possibly try to kill him. After the saboteur forces him to all but shut down production of all his plays, he decides he needs help, because he doesn't know of anyone who would have a vendetta against him. Seems simple enough, but Vincent wasn't expecting help to come in the form of a lifemate.

Jackie runs her father's PI company now that he has passed away. She's known about immortals for a very long time, almost her entire adult life, and honestly can't stand them. If it wasn't for the fact that Argeneau Enterprises is a major source of work for her and her partner, Tiny, then she wouldn't mess with them at all. So flying out to California to help find a saboteur and possible violent attacker is not what she would rather be doing, but it helps pay the bills. However, she didn't expect to find Vincent so attractive.

This isn't just another mixed up love story (even though it totally is and is great at it) but there was a couple moments when I really believed that Jackie and Vincent would never come together and fall in love. Jackie was hard-headed and poor Vincent kept trying to impress her and seduce her with no luck. She wanted nothing to do with the immortal, or so she thought.

Another great novel from Lynsay Sands. It was great!

This book went from sabatoge to murder, with some romance thrown in! Not a huge fan of the narrator, she sounded too robotic, but the book was great.
I was really excited to see this bookbwas about Vincent, my interest was peaked about him in the last book. When it came to the life partner, there was an issue that I had guesses as to how it would get resolved. I was wrong on all accounts which made a nice surprise.
I really like Tiny and hope he gets a story.

I got this in audiobook. It was fun. Despite the narrator botching the story, the writing and the story line was strong enough that it wasn't a disaster. I may consider getting this one in paperback. In my requirement that it must be "entertaining", "amusing", and provide an "escape for awhile" standard, it fulfilled my requirement.

Skipped from 2-4 since they were not on audio. This is cheesy but comfortable paranormal romance with a little bit of excitement.

This was a fun book. I definitely did not expect the culprit or their reason. Such a sad reason too... It was enjoyable seeing a cad brought to his knees. Those who are weak now may just be the strong ones later in our lives.

3.5 stars.

This is definitely the most plot driven so far. There’s more suspense and danger, less focus on the relationship. It also introduces the Notte family. I really loved how deliciously, possessive nice guy Vincent is.

Narration: The weird thing is that it’s the same narrator as A Quick Bite, but I didn’t like her as much this time.
