This one is a sequel to "Descent of Angels" so be warned - if you are not familiar with the first book this one may seem a little bit fuzzy.

After being sent to Caliban Luther, Zachariel and other veterans start to work on their new task - recruiting new aspirants and bringing up Calibans weapon production capacities to the greatest levels possible in order to support further Dark Angel Legino's war efforts.

On the other hand Namiel - now serving directly under Lion El'Jonson's command - embarks on a daring commando raid. If they fail Empire's enemies may gain a tremendous advantage.

New secrets are revealed and nothing is like it seems. Again one can only wonder what are the plans of both Primarchs and the Emperor - after all they are all human beings.

Great story, characters are lively with their doubts, fears but also practical and logical approach to the events taking place around them.

Highly recommended.

Man talk about sequalitise... but I a good way.
Bad things happen to people you like and also don't know who to trust? Probably no one. Look forward to the next angels book wherever that is

This really is a companion piece to Descent of Angels, so I am glad I read them both back to back, however this one loses some points for not having many human characters, mainly focusing on the Space Marines.

What gets this one a bit more points over something like 'Battle for Abyss' is that this book has some very fun, clever action set pieces, AND features basically an Aliens story within it.

Plus since I hate Lion El Johnson, I loved the ending.
