This was a childhood classic that I had never read. I enjoyed it so much..even more than the movie, which I LOVE!!

Such a sweet, sad story but with a nice ending! I’m glad I chose this.

(I actually listened to the audio but couldn’t find that on Goodreads)

I loved this. It was such a beautiful, warm story...Simple but magical. The narrative was so engaging, lovingly written. It was natural to want Sara to thrive and get her happy ending, but the ups and downs of the story and the message it relates was so well done. It was like a fairytale itself, and with depth to the story and a delivery that really connected with the reader. An unexpected find.
