Probably the youngest graphic novel I've read (ie written for the youngest audience). In that sense it seems like a good intro to graphics.

Graphic novel about Cupcake, who is in a baking slump when his friend Eggplant invites him to travel with him to meet a famous chef. Cupcake works extra hard, selling more cupcakes to make enough money to buy a plane ticket to go with Eggplant. Unfortunately, Cupcake doesn't get to go and falls into a bigger slump for a few days, before picking himself up and figuring out what is important.

Cute but a little weird.
Cupcake owns a bakery and is trying to save enough money to go to Turkey with his friend, Eggplant, so he can meet the famous baker, Turkish Delight. The drawings are pretty cute and the story was good, however I kind of feel like some pages were missing from the end. It really just kind of stopped.
Still it's a cute little graphic novel.

An odd story about a cupcake who owns a bakery and thier friendship with an eggplant. The whole food-making-food thing is a bit bizarre but it's a quick charming story and I was caught off-guard at the end.

A cute little book about Cupcake, her bakery, and her best friend Eggplant. It's a fun story, told in graphic novel form, that is simple and has a great message about friendship. As a bonus there are a lot of fun recipes included.
I didn't like how the book just ended, almost on a cliffhanger. I flipped through the last few pages again to make sure I didn't miss something, that's how abrupt the ending way. I'm hoping that means there will be a sequel, or that this is the beginning of a series of books that feature Cupcake and Eggplant. The rest of the story is sweet and simple enough that young readers will really enjoy this book. There are a lot of pages without text so this is the perfect choice for a reluctant reader. It will definitely appeal to girls way more then boys.
