Awesome book. Some plot holes but the overall
Thrill and adventure of it totally makes up for it. My students will love this one in the library. Also an excellent age appropriate commentary on prison reform. Totally worth the read

There are plot holes but I think the intended audience will overlook them and really get into the fast-paced adventure!

My daughter loved this author’s last book (Midnight at Barclay Hotel) so I purchased this for her right away! She hasn’t had a chance to start it yet so I decided to read it while she finished up the books she was on. It was so good! I loved the ghosts/spooky factor and trying to solve the mystery along with the kids! An overall entertaining read that middle schoolers are sure to enjoy!

I didn’t love the story, but I did love the message at the end about prison reform.

It’s cheesy and a quick read. It lost my interest several times but the authors message at the end meant a lot. I’m not mad I read it but won’t read again.

An interesting mystery mixed with a spooky prison island and great characters.
