It was middle of the road for me. There were parts of the story that were interesting, but then it would go nowhere. Didn't really answer many of the questions that would have given it a proper ending.

You can tell it's the authors first book, and it's not the best audio book with all of the French language in dialogue. But it's a good book to have on in the background or while driving home.

Lucy Foley does it again! I picked up this book because I loved The Guest List so much... I think I was even more shocked by this ending than The Guest List. Lucy Foley has mastered the art of a mystery novel, with so many twists and turns it is impossible to guess the ending to one of her books. I plan to read more from Lucy Foley and would recommend her books to anyone looking for a fast-paced mystery with multi-faceted characters and unexpected twists.

light hearted thriller. missing boy mystery instead of missing woman which was a nice change of pace. liked hearing from multiple characters throughout the story and all the questions were beautifully answered by the end while still keeping you reading.

I started it a few months ago and dnf and then decided I wanted to try to read it again and it was much better to read this time. It is an interesting book but very hard to follow at times due to bouncing around perspectives and views. If you like being able to read books from multiple perspectives then you'll like this book, or if you can keep track of the different perspectives at the same time

The first 2/3 of the book was difficult to push through. Once I did, I finished it quickly after that. Mainly the beginning was introducing a lot of characters and perspectives (each chapter switches characters) and it was hard to see how any were going to connect. Some of the plot lines felt a little unfinished/unresolved, but overall happy with this read but not ecstatic

Read this for book club this month... I wouldn't say I hated it, but it was not what I had expected. I loved how each chapter was a different person POV from the apartment complex. We were able to see the story from so many different views, and that was awesome. I felt as though some scenes didn't make sense, or really didn't even need to be there. Through out the entire book I had maybe one jaw dropping moment, and I didn't like how it ended. I debated if I should give 2 or 3 stars. It wasn't badly written, just wasn't my type.
