It was amusing. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Thud and blunder and boredom.

I see what they were trying to do, but the action was hard to follow and the humor was nearly nonexistent. The two bonus stories at the end had much more promise than the main adventure and I wish they had kept that art style throughout.

Ha! This comic is awesome. Minimal story, little (if any) character development, no love interest (yet?), just two brutes kicking skulls. Plenty of humor, excellent art, and very literal onomatopoeias. The story is by no means simplistic, but don't expect any deep, meaningful conversations as the two companions ride through the desert or a crisis of faith as one of them is about to be devoured. Just enjoy it for what it is, 'cause it's good!

A World of Warcraft-ish parody and buddy adventure filled with slapstick comedy, epic sound effects and lots of violence. In terms of the story there was nothing particularly exciting or new here, so I'm afraid it didn't leave me wanting more. Most of my enjoyment was derived from Edwin Huang's frankly jaw-dropping art.

2 stars for the story, 5 for the art, so I'm calling 3 and a half stars.

This was fun. Handled with a different set of dialogue, sound effects or art, this would be relentlessly dark and bleak, but the creators of Skullkickers have set out to make light, entertaining violence that cleanses the palette, and they have succeeded. I will end up reading many more of these.
