This was my first experience with West and I thoroughly enjoyed it. She went to the UK, Ireland, and Paris when she was 26; this book is a retelling of sorts compiled by re-reading the journals she kept during the trip and the letters she sent home (her mom kept all of them) when West was in her late 70s.

Fascinating and full of personality.
