Who knew it was possible for a book to be as charming as Forsythia and Me? This companion to Natalie and Naughtily is a delight. Ridley and Rudy are fantastic as is the story and Kirsch's unique artwork. Love love love. Very reminiscent of Sallie Lowenstein's novel Sender Unknown which I now want to reread.

Vincent Kirsch did an excellent job creating a story about two brothers, the eldest who has come to believe he is too big for such things and the younger brother who knows better. Rudy and Ridley have the ever important job of testing out every toy from the Toolittle Toy Company over the weekend because kids love to play with these toys and these toys love to play with kids. Rudy decides he is simply too old for this and proceeds to try his best at what he thinks he should be doing. Unfortunately, he makes a mess of things and a friend sent by Ridley might be able to help save the day. Sometimes it helps to listen to your younger brother.
