i think i am learning that i am not super into dark romance in the way where it has many instances of murder and not written super well. the concept for the book? great! but why was the princess written like an absolute airhead? like i get not being totally jaded by life like Richard, but Arienna acted like she was born yesterday sometimes.

I am very much in conflict of how I want to rate this book. Was it good. Yes. Was it bad. Yes. It`s like I can`t really decide if it bad or not.

It started really good. Found the first 20 pages bizzar and found. I would just stop for a moment and go, "What did I just read." Finiding it so hilarious. I never expected to read a sentence like that in a book.

Howere as I contiue on, it became more like a wattpad story. And I actually started not to like the male lead and really dislike the female lead. They just at some point annoyed me, maybe it was because of the plot. If it hadn`t been for them wanting to kill each other. Which was dissapointing because the killing plot was one of the main reason why I bought it.

As for the side character. LOVE THEM. And because of that I`m actually considering buying the second book, because I wanna see more of the side characters and their story.

I thought this book concept was pretty good. Emphasis on concept, this book read like a poorly written wattpad book. The main character acted either like a child or a sex maniac. In addition to this, the world building sucked. I had no idea what a brownie was until a few chapters in, nor did i know what type of setting literally any scene took place in. However, the only major issue i had was at the end when
Richard was low key abusing Arienna. Like sure it was consensual but for the wrong reasons, she said she felt like she deserved to be punished and hurt but otherwise would have used a safe word. I took that as she saw it as an actual punishment rather than a fun one in which she received pleasure and  actually liked what was being done. Then she was like cut and bruised and bleeding after, idk it made me feel icky.
read at ur own discretion.
