I've been asking myself, why is the sequel not coming out until 2025? And why didn't I pick up this book sooner?

Kristen Ciccarelli's "The Crimson Moth" had been on my radar for a while, and it's been ages since I've devoured a book in just two days. But the tension of "one of us will kill the other" paired with the cat-and-mouse aspect of this book just wouldn't let me put it down. And once I finished it, I found myself revisiting certain parts, just to relive the thrill.

The chemistry between Rune and Gideon was electric. Every moment they shared was captivating. Whether they were fighting, teasing, or flirting, I was hooked. It was fascinating to see both sides of the cat-and-mouse game they played, each trying to outwit the other. The twists and turns in the plot kept me on the edge of my seat.

Now, all I can do is wait for the second installment. The anticipation is killing me! 😭

I've been seeing this all over with stellar reviews so I was super excited it was my Book of the Month pick from a couple months back. I was instantly hooked as soon as I started reading the first page and had a really hard time putting this down. I love reading fantasy - but sometimes they are slow to digest for me, regardless of how great it is. But the pace I read this one at was how I would read a really good thriller, just completely devouring it! The world-building was easy to understand but so unique, I haven't read a lot of witch-based fantasy novels but the magic system and politics in this one were so unlike anything I've ever read, so I was fascinated. The witch x witch hunter enemies-to-lovers romance was just chef's kiss, and my heart is currently torn in two with how this one ended. The next book in the Crimson Moth series is going to be one of my most highly anticipated reads of 2025 and this first installment is one of my favorite reads of 2024 so far!

I liked the story, i like the pull and push of the characters, they had an intriguing relationship that had many facets, and many contradictory feelings which i think makes the story super interesting especially with the ending it gave us.
Will read the next one, but not excited enough to say i’ll be waiting for it. (If that makes sense)

so I really need the second book now or else 🔫👹

the twists were twisting even though I knew how the romance was going to pan out,
and I'm genuinely a bit mad at this ending, I know we said enemies to lovers but I also really need them to love pls!!!! Also Alex dying?? Pissed me off... He wasn't a contender in the book boyfriend realm but I genuinely got quite upset like what da hek

I haven't stopped thinking about this book in three days. I cry at random songs because it reminds me of them. It is my whole personality now.
