Even though I've read other books about the Cambodia genocide, I am still surprised by the depths of hell people endured at the hands of the Khmer Rouge. Too few know about what happened in Cambodia. This is not an easy book to read, but that's why it should be read.

Very very bleak book. Focused more on the emotion of what happened in Cambodia, it is a harrowing narrative of survival.
