I loved her descriptions of old New Orleans and Paris; and the story was so engaging the entire way through. Quote: http://robrogan.com/post/760

So so, half of the book could’ve been removed. The most interesting plot point was within the last two hours of the book.

Considering my personal taste in novels and the chokehold the Interview tv show has on me, I expected to fall absolutely in love with Interview of the Vampire.

Unfortunately I had such a hard time going through this book: I felt the writing style to be at times redundant and intentionally confusing, and the format of the story, with Louis acting both as a narrator and as a main character, made it sometimes tricky to understand what was going on and how it actually impacted the characters.
Yes, there were certain devastating and heartbreaking scenes (if you know you know), and yet they were few and far between, with pages and pages of nothing concrete happening, neither in terms of actions or feelings.

I can honestly see the appeal of this book, but for me it just didn’t hit the spot.

{last book of 2022!!} Woah… WOAH!!! This book I can’t even begin to articulate my feelings towards it. Louis my beloved!! And that ending… I am completely shocked. I adore this book completely. Everything about it makes my heart just ache. Again, I can’t even put into words what I feel for this book. My thoughts are just filled with Louis and how his story is such a tragedy. I related to him in so many ways and so see him in pain I just-
