If I had to describe this book in one word, it would be, "authentic."

The story, though sad, progresses in such a natural way. It is paced quite well. This is the story of a boy who had an embezzling father and the girl who cheated on the SAT. They both get bullied by others, but the guy gets bullied much more and more harshly.

The characters seemed so real. I could really see these people as individuals in real life. Splendidly done.
-MC 1, Maegen. Sweet but knows her boundaries. I have a lot of respect for this lady. She is probably my favorite out of the cast of the characters, followed only by Rob.
-MC 2, Rob. So respectful of everyone. He is really cool but so lonely.
-The Sister. Pretty wild. I'm glad she found people she trusts and can confide in.
-Rob's mom. I don't really like her. She seemed kind of vacant and rude to her son.
-Maegan's friend. She isn't the greatest friend. I'm glad they talked things out in the end, though.

The writing was well done. Flowed well and had a good blend of dialogue and descriptions/other stuff.

The romance between the two was so believable. It isn't insta-love and it makes sense!

Such a good read. Couldn't put it down.

She's an extraordinary writer, but this is not my favorite by her. I don't think that has anything to do with the book, more just me. Great characters (practically all are incredibly three dimensional), twisty plot, good romantic moments. The end felt a bit rushed to me, but I think that's more on trend: to have a quick wrap up.

The writing was fast paced and I did enjoy the story but I just don’t think this book was for me. I didn’t enjoy how devastating it was with very little pay off in the end. I also think it would have been better if this wasn’t a romance as it was so overlooked and an afterthought in the story. They felt just like friends.
I loved the side characters; Samatha and Owen
