I was lucky enough to read an ARC of HOT SEAL Target...lucky because Lynn Rae Harris’ HOT series is an automatic must read for me. This newest installment is phenomenal. Adam ‘Blade’ Harrison is a kickass hero who is tapped for a special assignment with Ian Black and Black’s Bandits. He is headed to Hong Kong to be the bodyguard of a woman married to an American billionaire. Quinn Halliday was Adam’s friend in high school.

Quinn’s husband is suspected of a very dirty businessman and Blade is sent in to be her bodyguard while looking for information for Ian’s
company. Blade quickly learns Hunter Halliday is one sick and malicious man who treats his wife horribly.

In this book Lynn Rae Harris takes us to Hong Kong, where Adam grew up and learned how to fight. His connection to Quinn is intense and immediate, but she’s married to his suspect and their past association can’t be discovered by her husband without jeopardizing Blade’s undercover task.

The action quickly takes off, and Quinn and Blade both discover how deep their feelings for each other go. Blade work with a couple of Black’s Team, and later the rest of Blade’s team gets in on the action.

I loved ready how Quinn found the courage and inner strength to make such dramatic changes to herself physically, yet emotionally she was still growing...losing 120 pounds didn’t make her into a different person on the inside. Adam/‘Blade’ was really close to Quinn even when she was overweight, and he recognized and admitted his own shortcoming in being physically attracted to her only after such a dramatic physical transformation.

This is as awesome as the previous HOT books, and each one gets better. I loved this couple together and enjoyed getting quick glimpses of previous main characters.

I am always a little hesitant going into one of these stories, where the lovers knew each other long ago and have to come to terms with old feelings and the changes to their feelings and in each other, before the ever have a chance at a new relationship. Baggage is never fun to deal with, even in just reading about it, but thankfully Ms. Harris manages it with great aplomb and we are able to enjoy these two rediscovering their friendship and their love. Adam comes to terms with his need for a woman to complete his life and realizes that just maybe Quinn was the missing piece of his heart all along, while Quinn discovers that her feelings for Adam were truly love and not just the innocent hero worship she believed it was when she was a young girl. Adam is amazing in so many ways, not the least of which is his ability to understand at any moment just what Quinn needs to build herself up when someone has torn her down. Quinn has to find a way to get out from under the boulder her marriage has buried her under, but once she does she is free to embrace the intense connection she still feels with Blade and there is no way she can deny either of them the need to be together. I loved every second of these two together, even when the intensity of their fear cause my own heart to race and palms to sweat, but I never doubted the HOT boys would prevail in the end. The passion between Adam and Quinn is undeniable, even when they are both fighting it, but the low hum of deeper emotions is just as obvious and intense, letting readers know that this isn’t just a hot fire that will burn itself out quickly. IF you are looking for a story with action, drama, sensuality, and a deep emotional bond between two friends turned lovers; HOT SEAL Target will hit every target and offer so much more as well. Way to go Lynn!

HOT SEAL Target is the newest release from Lynn Raye Harris in her amazing HOT SEAL Team series. I love a reunion story and we totally get that with Adam "Blade" Garrison's story.

Adam and Quinn were friends in high school, but lost touch once he joined the Navy. Quinn was a chubby and shy girl when they knew each other in high school and Adam came to her defense when she was being bullied by other students. In the years that past, Quinn became a fitness blogger and lost all the excess weight, yet is still very much the same person she was before she lost all the weight. She also ended up married to Hunter Halliday, who Adam is sent to investigate while posing as a bodyguard for Quinn. The fact he is off the HOT books and working for Ian Black as one of Black's Bandits on this job, gave me much concern. Black really doesn't follow the rules the same way the HOT teams do, so I knew things could get a bit crazy.

I loved seeing Blade and Quinn reconnect after being apart for so long. Yes they were only friends years ago, but I could feel their attraction to one another pretty much from the moment they laid eyes on each other. Quinn had married an abusive asshat who was pretty much horrible to everyone who came in contact with him and he was way to controlling with everything that had to do with Quinn. I honestly wanted to knock the crap out of Hunter more than once while reading this book.

I loved the time Blade and Quinn got to spend together. I knew he would do everything within his power to keep her safe and also knew there was no way they could fight their attraction for long. OMG Blade and Quinn were so freaking hot together, and I loved it all started with a friendship years ago.

I'll be the first to say, I didn't really like Ian Black when he first appeared in the series because I had major trust issues with him. However, he has quickly become one of my favorite characters in this series and I love getting to spend time with him in each book now. I also have to say I want to know more about some of his Bandits we met in this book in future stories. HOT SEAL Target was pretty action packed from start to finish and was a really great romantic suspense story.

I have loved each of the HOT books I've read to date and look forward to each new installment. I love with each new book we get to spend time with team members and their spouses from past books. I can't wait to read what happens next with the series when we get Ryan "Dirty Harry" Callahan's book!
