This was such an easy yet depressing read. I couldn’t put it down. Being privy to Fugui’s life through this book… has made me feel so utterly sad, yet also somewhat hopeful. Life keeps going on even when you don’t want it to.

Not a full 5 stars because I don’t know if I would recommend or reread this book again. I suppose one must be in the right headspace to do so…!

This was actually a pretty good read. As mentioned before, it was hard to get into at first but it ultimately turned into a story of real emotion and life resilience. How even after the pain one could think of, our character still chooses to live on in a sort of peace. The writing was also quite beautiful in its own strange ways
