If I hadn't been reading this book for a book group I might've been tempted to set it down during the first half of the book. But when I reached the heart of the book--the discussion on "timshel"--I couldn't wait to see it resolve, which it did--beautifully!

Edit to add: I’ve now read this 3 or 4 times and love it more each time. I see pieces of myself in every character.
Beautiful. I ate up the words like berries. Not about Good vs. Evil, but Good AND Evil. Instant favorite, I can't wait to read it again.
