really enjoyed the latest book in the Royal Powers series.
I had never read anything by this author before and I was completely sucked into Pete and Mickey’s story.

Because of the way Pete had been raised, he’s never sure of anything but when Mickey’s dad is abducted he finally steps up and chaos ensues.
Poor Pete wants Mickey but can’t figure out a way to keep the person of his dreams until he breaks free of the role life had cast.
The author brings you into Pete’s head. You can feel his doubt and insecurity. I ached for the man because he didn’t know how to bring about the change he needed.
There are funny bits, because of Lulu and some sweet bits.

Definitely recommend this latest instalment

I received a copy for an honest review.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this, but I did. Not the best, but worth the read, and I definitely liked the idea of a gender fluid bi character rep.

This story left me with so many mixed feelings. The author’s note at the end really explained some things but man o man was this story conflicting. I am not sure how I liked the portrayal of the gender fluid shifting and I am sorry to say that I did not like how Petre ended up using his power in the end, even if it made things better and brought them back together it just hit a nerve. I know it’s talked about in the author’s explanation it was just one of those things that didn’t sit right for me. I also didn’t feel the characters connection was genuine.

I did not hate this story, unfortunately I didn’t greatly enjoy it either and when I continue to contemplate it the things that bugged me are what stand out.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review
