Honestly I thought this book was a cute easy read! I think it would make a nice light teen movie. I wouldn't read it a second time, but it was nice to pass the time!

This book had lots of suspense and it was difficult to put down. I love how it alternates between April, May, and June throughout the book. I like Robin Benway's way of writing and I look forward to reading more books by her in the future.

3.5 stars, rounding down

I felt like the book just wasn't great. Overall it read very formulaic and forced. It was like it had to be written to fit a specific mold and for me, the mystery wasn't big enough for me. Even so, I found that I was able to get invested in the characters and the story and wanted to keep reading. Upon finishing the book, I felt like there may have been a little too much going on and it felt like I was missing out on something. Also, I found April incredibly annoying and I just want to put that into the universe

I didn't have many expectations but ended up loving it! The sisters all reminded me of my own sisters at times. Also all the interactions between the different characters were great and I wouldn't mind seeing another book with them again some day.

This was such a cute novel that I really enjoyed! A tale about three sisters who discover that they have magical powers. What the book is really about, though, is the bond April, May and June have as sisters.

The three sisters couldn't be more different from each other. April is the studious, responsible one. One of her biggest responsibilities is watching out for her two younger sisters. May is just trying to get through her parents divorce. Turning to alcohol and invisibility (her power) to help her. And June. Little June. Being the youngest of the three is not always easy. She's just trying to fit in at her new high school. But she never fails with her perkiness and up beat personality.

Switching between points of view, you see their story play out along with the power of their sisterhood. It was a bit cheesy at times. Still, it was incredibly cute and an enjoyable read.

It was a fun read although all I thought for most of it was: "Oh God, am I going to go through the whole book reading about how they moan and bitch at each other?" In-depth sibling squabbles are not my cup of tea. I'm an only child so I can't relate with the dynamics of the calendar sisters.

But that is what I also liked about this book, the sister-dynamics. No matter what shit they get themselves into, no matter how they bitch and moan at each other, they're sisters and they always have each other's backs.
