This "season" seemed unnecessary and like the appendix, no longer needed after the way the writers/creators ended season 11. If we are going to say that then we can also say that season 11 was pretty redundant, but of course there are many people who thought this of seasons 8 and onwards, which I suppose, is true.

I loved Buffy series and own all seasons on DVD and still felt seven was not enough. So happy it was made into comic series and as a Spuffy fan, this final season that brought Spike and Buffy together as a true couple and all their friends survived and grew was exactly what I hoped would happen. I would not change a thing.
