We're joking, right? You are telling me one of the great 7 IS ACTUALLY DEAD??? FML, IM GONNA CRY, THIS IS SO DEPRESSING

Also, lots of them from the 7 are growing up and doing their own thing. I feel so nostalgic and sad at the same time. I dont know, just a whole wave of emotions rn

This has been my favorite of the Trials of Apollo series so far! I think I cried a couple times. The character development in this book was so good!! I'm a big fan of Piper's Charm Speak so this was a fun one for me. Plus Grovers in this one and I've been missing him so much, the books have barely had him lately! Anyway I'm looking forward to the next book hopefully it'll be a 4 star as well.

You're going to want to have Kleenex if you're going to read this book because tears are likely to be flowing. Also, warning you might get cravings for enchiladas.

Perhaps this quest had ended on a suspended fourth chord. We still had much to do. But from now on, I would be more than Lester. I would be more than an observer. I would be Apollo. I would remember.

And now I'm hooked on The Trials of Apollo series. The first two books IMO weren't great and I was ready to give up on seeing how the rest of the story played out but Rick redeemed himself with The Burning Maze.

This was truly the turning point in this series - it cemented Apollo's desire to change for the better and I am if not a sucker for character progression. And boy did the danger feel real this time.

SpoilerJason Grace, you were too young. Rest in peace. Your death seemed shoe horned here but I do think Rick handled it the best he could.
