Children really enjoyed this story - their first chapter book and they listened so well.
You know they’ve loved it when you get a round of applause at the end

Roald Dahl's imagination man.. I listen this through my walk with the dogs and I couldn't find the answer for one question : Is the author crazy or extremely extraordinary

At my very young age, the first book I read of Roald Dahl was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I always love reading fantasy books, but this was something special. People wish for Hogwarts Express ticket, and I wished for Willy Wonka's golden ticket. I badly wanted to be a part of Charlie Bucket's journey to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, as I am always a crazy chocolate lover like Charlie. This book was very engaging, but the ending was the best part of the entire story.

This is one book I wish I'd read as a kid, because there are things in it that, as an adult reading it for the first time, I just can't get past. It's the whole Oompa Loompa story line. It's just so wrong on every level!
