It was so good to see the characters back in the swing of things with their hit and run tactics. I loved this book.

Ellie's narration was more honest. The group had to deal with more real world stuff with Kevin's breakdown and the brat kids in Stratton.

Each time I pick up one of these books I want these kids to single handedly win the war and to leave it for someone else. I want them to be normal and happy and I want them to stay and be guerillas. I'm so torn. I love these characters.

I can't wait to delve into the next book. Marsden can keep writing and I'll keep reading.

Ellie and her friends continue to evade enemy forces as they unwittingly find themselves in Stratton with unexpected outcomes.

Another fantastic book in the Tomorrow series!

This story has:
*Reinvested my interest in this group of teens! The last book was slow in terms of plot and action and this book came back with a bang! The group mobilised and got back to fighting the enemy.
*Action scenes that both seem real and fictional in the same breath. You get thinking surely they won’t all come out of this alive..and really its when they are ‘safe’ that’s it more likely one will disappear. Maybe for good!
*The book extends the scope of affects f the war. The war has been going along for longer now and this books shows the effects on the land, the towns and the people who live (and hide) in there.

I recommend this book to lovers of the series and anyone who feels like their life is tough. It could be worse. So much worse.

Five books down and two to go. This book captured my interest a little more than the last one. I really like when the kids are off on their own and not hampered by the adults. There was a bit of dead space while they were holed up in an enemy airfield, but that didn't last long. It’s been interesting to see how all the constant stress and loss has affected all the kids differently.
