I had a hard time getting into this one because the author introduced new character and this was the final book in the trilogy. I really didn't want new characters at this point! But the author redeemed himself and the trilogy ended beautifully. Great series for reluctant readers.

My full review is here on my personal website. I'll post a few excerpts here, though:

The very worst thing about this book is that this world had to come to an end with the books. Thank goodness I can visit again the next time I read the trilogy.

The very best thing about this book is how incredibly detailed the entire story has been. You just can’t beat good writing, good story-telling, and attention to detail. ^_^ Thank you, Mr. Shusterman, for sharing this masterpiece with us! I love when a series gets better as it progresses.

Ahh this book was really good! I think it was a satisfying ending to a very intriguing series. The concept was definitely original, and I know that there are a ton of themes presented in the book. The one I found most prominent was about finding your purpose. It's not always obvious, and it's not always easy, but everyone has a purpose.
I'm actually really bad at analyzing books (as you can probably tell), but I know if I really tried that there is huge potential for this book to be quite deep in meaning. It got me thinking about life and death and a bunch of other things. Even if I'm not very good at this sort of stuff, I appreciate this book and I really did enjoy it and the series as a whole :)

OMG THE ENDING THOUGH. I started this series thinking it was pretty good-not amazing, but good enough to spend a lazy summer afternoon reading. However, this last book blew everything out of the water. I loved how all the characters really found themselves and had a happy ending in their own different ways. Before the end of the book, I was really upset because there were some issues in the first two books that were not resolved, like the issue with Vari. But then, BOOM everything becomes clear again. In this book, Shusterman explores the darkness of human nature as well as its complex feelings of love and hatred. Plus, I have to say I really shipped Allie x Mikey and Jix x Jill.

Everfound is an appropriate and moving end to a most original concept. In a world just outside of our own is a society of children that either lost their way or were stolen away from the light. As the previous books, Mr. Shusterman brings you on a fantasy wild ride with vortexes, Mayan kingdoms, and painted warriors. But what makes these books unlike the numerous other novels you will see on the Teen shelves is the simple undertone of life, death, and love. Although you will be sad to loose these beloved young people you've journeyed with for so long, you want them to find peace in their deaths. But you never know....perhaps Neal Shusterman is an ex-skinjacker breaking all the rules. ;)
