This was a really short read and I loved it, got me out of a reading slump. The mysterious setting with such vivid descriptions of the river and this big old house and the water seeping into everything. The two voices made for great contrast, 200 years apart, and I found the 19th century hydrotherapy fascinating. A ghost story where the house is haunted by wronged women makes for a very interesting ghost story.
