Cute short story set in between either the 3rd and 4th or 4th and 5th book? in the original PJ universe. I actually wasnt going to read this, cause i didnt think it would...not not worth it, just meh..but then Nicos book referenced this so i had to immediately read it. And it was alright. Less of riordan humor ,but it was short story, so...But least I got the dandelion joke again ahaha, and a bit more of percy <3

 Always worth it!

As an adult I still thoroughly enjoy these books. And I always want more. Rick Riordan is really incredible and there is always the right amount of action and adventure.

The Sword of Hades.
I liked this little adventure Percy, Thalia and Nico go on in the Underworld. It was short and sweet and I enjoyed it a lot. Different Gods make an appearance in this short story and I liked that Hades has finally an official role because there was talking about him in the previous books, but he didn't really show up to say hi.

Also, the writing. I love how sarcastic and witty Percy's thoughts are and although he doesn't know every God and what their role is, he is smart and funny and he learns from every experience that he's had.

I liked that Thalia is in this short story as well; I really enjoyed her character in The Titan's Curse and I was sad that she'd (spoiler!) gone with Artemis to be one of her warriors.

Overall it was a nice and quick read and I am now fully prepared to finish this series!

4/5 stars.

Groovy Greeks
This was an unexpected read. I thought that this short story would only contain Percy Jackson's adventure, but was interested when I found out that it was a flipcover.

It is kind of a history lesson with comic strips and written in a more casual and fun way. But I found myself not very interested in this story and mostly forced myself to read through it.

I wouldn't have picked it up if it hadn't been part of the Percy Jackson short story.

2/5 stars.

I've read this before, so when I noticed it still on my to-read shelf I was a little confused. So, just to make sure it was read this year, I read through it again.

I giggled in all the right places, but noticed that on reread it doesn't hold up. :-( I like it better the first time.
