One of the first Goosebumps books I read. If you are a fan of the movie The Mask you will probably like this.

Read for a reading challenge

I'm really glad I didn't read these as a teenager, I'm sure they would have properly freaked me out, and I specifically chose a Goosebumps that was not likely to scare me.

Pretty good all in all, nice little cliffhanger as well, I wouldn't say no to picking up a few others now.

Not horrible but the calling the main character 'Carly Beth' smacked of trying to meet some sort of word count by the back door.

I read this book something like a hundred times as a kid. I watched the TV adaptation just as many, if not more, times. Who didn't, honestly? The 90s were all about Goosebumps! This is much darker than I remembered, and I absolutely loved it! No wonder it's considered the best of the series!

Old School April Readathon 2023

I guess Goosebumps books just aren't really my cup of tea. remember watching the episode that adapted this book as a kid and liking it, but at my current age, it didn't do a whole lot for me. I understand why so many love this, and I wish I did too.
