I'm intrigued enough to read the next book. I don't know exactly how I feel about this. I did like the new creature of a "Cruxum", and a Sphinx as well. We get so very little background on what this is, it's almost as if we get thrown into a story that's already begun, also, I'm not quite sure of the setting and/or the world this takes place in. I did enjoy it and think that the next book may be better. The writing is good and this has a lot of promise.

I just couldn't get into this book. It was difficult to like the characters and the relationships between them seemed to be lacking.
