I loved how quiet and simple this was. I would honestly love to see a full length novel that explores this world, but even just this snippet was great.

A perfect, lovely story for a winter's day. Two travelers spend a few days snowed-in together, being beautifully careful of each other's boundaries while also bonding, telling stories, eating, and playing games. The worldbuilding is just stunning in this one, the author creates an incredibly rich setting in an extremely short span while also still focusing completely on character. A gem.

Very inclusive novella, so many different identities and an introduction to a great world, I'd love to read a full length novel set there.

"[My parents] never got on well."
"Were they friends?"
"No, just in love, as far as I know."
