One of the best anthology's I have ever read. Fantastic diverse read, everything from myths and legends to folklore I thoroughly enjoyed this. There is queer representation, colorism discussion, anything you could want. (Colonialism, Racism, Pollution)I love the illustrations at the start of each chapter, they really help you get in the right vibe for each section. Some of the stories made me laugh, others made me glad I read this with the lights on! Several stories ended very cathartically, the men got what they had coming to them and it was amazing.
A must read!
The cover is colorful and dynamic, and perfectly encapsulates this book.

I love learning about mythology and folklore especially from other countries so when I saw this gem, I HAD to pick it up. All the stories are really good, and it was hard to put it down! I also learned about a lot of new creatures and mythology (always a plus) and there are definitely some that will haunt me and stay with me.
I really enjoyed that a couple of the stories with monsters actually were sweet in their own way, so it wasn't all just scary or gory. I also really enjoyed that some of the themes in the stories involved issues facing society today such as racism and bullying.
All the stories are fantastic, but I will say that my favorites had to be ?Donde Esta el Duende?, Beware the Empty Subway Car, Blood Kin, Sugary Deaths, and The Hour of the Wolf.
I highly recommend this book to any fans of creature feature books, any horror fans, and anyone who enjoys learning about other cultures and their mythology.
