Some parts of the story didn't make sense to me, and the end seemed a bit rushed, like it was just thrown together quickly without much thought. However, I really liked this book overall. I thought it was funny and somehow I totally related to Vlad, despite the fact that I am neither a thirteen-year-old boy nor a vampire.

This is probably one of the better vampire books that I have read in a long time. It was super good and it kept me totally intrigued and kept me wanting more. I like how this book didn't have your stereotypes that you think a vampire should be like. Vlad was a great guy character and I know that is why a lot of the boys at my school like this book...very relate-able. Might read on in the series at a later time.

On a side note, I met Heather Brewer and she was super nice!

I really did not like this book. I normally love books with any supernatural theme to them, but Brewer's book could not give me any sort of feeling other than boredom. I didn't even finish it.

This book was about a young 13 year old halfblood (half human/ half vampire) who's name is Vladimir Tod. He was stereotypically a goth. This whole book resolved around Vlad going to school and trying to learn more about his parents mysterically disappearing/dying. It was an okay book, it was my favorite among vampire tales, but it was an okay read.
