Killer clowns + creepy cornfields+ small town -> hell yeah. Sign me up! This book started out as a slow burn setting up the scene until it takes a turn and it's non stop horror until the end. Can't wait to read the sequel!

This book is so fun. There are some fun twists and turns. A few twists that make this book wonderful. The characters are easy to root for and if you’re a fan of slasher horror this is a beautifully made love letter to that genre. I met Adam at a convention and he is so passionate about this book and you can tell on every page how much love was put into it

I've read this book many times and will prob read it again when the third book comes out, but it's just a good and fun slasher novel. I will eat it up EVERY time!

Not a bad book, just a little bit more predictable than I would’ve liked.
It starts out a little bit slow, and I felt like a lot of unnecessary information is explained in detail, but the climax is enjoyable and the characters were well written and fun.
I guess I just wanted a bit more out of this. You can pretty much guess the entirety of the story within the first chapter or two, and there are very few surprises along the way.

Unexpected! I was admittedly leary when I saw this was basically a teenager slasher. It really surprised me! The characters were interesting enough, with enough depth to them, to actually be likable or unlikable. There were certainly several annoying traits, such as the teens addiction to filming everything for YouTube or the Gram; and conversely, the adults being annoyed at the teens being modern teenagers. I was slightly eye-rolling at the obvious political message in the book (make Kettle Springd great again)--really?! Snowflake also manages to make it's appearance.
I would still highly recommend this book, as a great slasher/horror story. Oh yes, and not excessive in the gore, another plus in my view.

This book was a ton of fun-- a great slasher plot that managed to subvert expectations a few big times, Scream-style. It is very heavy-handed with its social/political themes, but that didn't bother me.
