Some laughs, some tears, more than a few lines I’ve been quoting since reading it. I really enjoyed the slow evolution of Irby’s ambivalence about cohabitation with her eventual wife.

I love Samantha Irby. SHE JUST GETS ME. I feel like we are probably the same person. Even though I’ll never meet her in real life, I will go to my grave laughing out loud whenever I think of her essay, “Fuck it, bitch. Stay fat.”

A very fun read that should be done with headphones in. Ms. Irby is such a fun writer, and I'll be reading more of her books in the future.

I am not as much of a fan about this essay collection, as the last one especially since some of it just seemed a bit unhinged, which is probably what she was going for, and might just be a personality trait. Idk.
I will still read her books though, I liked this one enough to finish, so I will see what the next volume is about!

fucking hilarious. i especially appreciated her essays on animals and working in animal welfare. sam has such a unique voice and her personification of Hellen Keller the cat and various other hypothetical inanimate objects had me gasping for air (with laughter). a great, quick, reflective and humorous read about relationships, identity, family, and adulthood.
