I enjoyed reading the book considering its length. Straightforward sentences that manages to record the raw and detailed living actions of the characters. Loved the end where Gonzalo and Vicente reconnect—touching. Did not like the 3rd section where it focuses on Pru for a good amount of pages. But helps build context and depth for the later part.

This is a charming and hilarious book, which I enjoyed immensely. I felt like it lost momentum in the last third, but man did it make me want to read some poetry. I loved when the author spoke straight to the reader, and all his wry observations.

I really enjoyed the characters and how they were complicated, fully formed people. Really interesting exploration of the Chilean poetry scene that was really fascinating!

Al principio no me convencía mucho e incluso abandoné la lectura algunos días pero decidí darle otra oportunidad. Me calló la boca, realmente lo hizo. Se me hizo super interesante, divertida y conmovedora. Aprendí mucho de poesía, de quienes escriben poesía y de quienes escriben poesía y además son chilenxs.

Es un libro maravilloso que toca temas desde la paternidad por pareja a las vicisitudes de los artistas en contextos de Latinoamérica. La escritura fantástica, se lee tan sencillo y, a la vez, es tan profundo el subtexto, que no te da sino a reflexionar cada detalle y suceso.

Seguro cuando lo relea encontraré lecciones nuevas.
