Oh good lord

The story part of this was downright awful. Sexy times were good though. This author has become SO hit or miss, like some books aren't edited or thought out at all.

Lucky Harbor Series Book #9

Just love these characters and the setting. These books are so much fun to read and they just suck me in. The women I could hang out with, the men are just wonderful.

If you're looking for some fun, romantic reads with women to spend some time with and hot, strong, alpha men to drool over then yes to Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series.

The series is written in sets of 3, with little cameo mentions of previous characters/places.

As everybody knows the Lucky Harbor series is one of my all time favorite book series and there hasn't been a book or novella that I haven't absolutely loved. Each book keeps getting better and better with the hot alpha males, lovely girlfriend relationships and quirky characters. It's probably the closest thing to Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow that I'm going to get to in book form. So sad that this series is ending at the end of this year, but I'm excited to see what Jill Shalvis comes up with next.

Another great installment in this series. I really liked both main characters in this book and had been looking forward to Ben's story for several books. Ben and Aubrey make a great couple. Can't wait for the next one!

WOW! All I can say is wow! I love the Lucky Harbor series I thought no one could top Jax in the first book of the series.. well I was wrong. Ben was so steamy and alpha! I also just fell in love with Aubrey's character. She was so spunky yet when she let you see the through the tough exterior you knew she was just as vulnerable as the rest of us! Loved it.. Can't wait for the next book!!!

Lucky Harbor is the kind of place everyone should experience at least once for themselves. The characters that support—or sometimes tear down—the main characters in each story are well-written, side-splitting, and provide perfect counterpoints to the deep emotional storms that always brew in a Shalvis romance. Ben and Aubrey have a rocky relationship, one they both deny they are in until the very end, and they both have enormous amounts of issues to contend with. It is obvious from the beginning they are a good fit though; Ben’s quiet and solemn nature perfectly tempers Aubrey’s impulsiveness and bossy assertiveness. Seeing them interacting reminds us that sometimes not only do opposites attract, but they can make the most colorful and grandiose explosions. When acceptance finally allows them to embrace one another, Ben and Aubrey find that life together is way better than anything they can build apart. That type of love really does come only Once in a Lifetime (pun intended) and knowing that they were able to overcome all the problems that could have kept them apart, gives me hope that a love like this can be found for us all. Another hit out of the park for Jill Shalvis, a best-selling author that never lets me down and keeps her fans coming back for more of the small town antics of Lucky Harbor, WA. I’m dying for the next in the series already, because just the hints we've gotten of Sam make me think he’ll make an awesome Hero. Keep up the great work, Jill.

Once again, Jill Shalvis wrote another hit. I seem to enjoy each Lucky Harbor book more than the last. Aubrey has always been the one who caused trouble and now she wants to make amends for the wrong she did in her youth. As she slowly starts making amends there's one thing she can't seem to confess the wrong she did to the man she's falling for. Ben knows Aubrey is hiding something but doesn't know what it is. He's determined to get to the bottom of it, but what he doesn't know is Aubrey's confession could tear them apart. I will say the book was a bit predictable because I could tell what the secret was pretty early, but I didn't mind. I definitely recommend this book to those who love Ms. Shalvis & to those who like romance but have never tried her. I loved this book and look forward to the next installment from Lucky Harbor.

A bad girl with a good heart in a small town wants to try and turn her life around by making amends after accidentally going to an AA meeting. And the one man she has always liked is on her list. But she wants more than to just make amends for past behavior towards him. Can they make it work?

As always a great read from Jill Shalvis.

Jill Shalvis seems to master the contemporary romance genre. She’s created a town, Lucky Harbor, that brings smiles every time I get to go back. And the secondary characters and setting make the town almost a character in its own right. Ben has come back home to try and find some relief from his memories. What he finds is smart and sexy Aubrey. Aubrey has been dealt one hard knock after another. She decides that she needs to rebuild her life and the start of that is rebuilding the bookstore that she loves. With Ben hired as the contractor, these two may have some issues getting along but they can’t deny the passion that fires between them. Can two people who only seem to get along in the bedroom possibly have a HEA? Another great read from Ms. Shalvis is a town that I love visiting every chance I get.
