I didn't want to listen to it as an audiobook. Also, it has been quite a while since I read the other books from the series.

If a book makes me cry more than once, it deserves 5 stars.

This book was bittersweet. I was crying happy tears by the end. Everyone that has started the series should read this book.

I was very excited to read this book and see what happened to The Sisterhood 10 years later. The book started off OK, with some brief catching up and a sense of relief that the girls were still recognizable as themselves, despite the time going by. Then tragedy struck and I was sent reeling. It was a totally unexpected blow and it really left a sour and uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. I felt like we were robbed of the chance to see a grown-up Tibby and to see the girls all together once again. The next section of the book was depressing and not at all what I signed up for. In all of the previous books, when one girl was down, the other girls were there to boost them up and make her (and the reader) feel better. In this book, all of the girls were devastated and the reader was right there with them with nobody and nothing to pull us out of the funk. Their recovery was well handled and once it finally began it was a beautiful and touching thing to see, but in my opinion too much time was spent wallowing in grief. It felt a bit over dramatic that three women's lives were almost completely destroyed by the death of their friend that admittedly they had almost completely lost touch with at that point. Yes, they all had holes in their lives already that needed fixing, but their synchronized descent into deep depression didn't feel realistic to me.

The first portion of this book was just painful. Not necessarily because of what happens, but because of characters' reactions to what happens. The book wasn't going anywhere at all. These characters are supposed to be almost 30, and they are still acting like they did in the previous books when they were teenagers. It was almost bizarre.

Finally it started to get better, but I just can't handle all the internal angst and stupidity of these characters.
