This was a hard book to get through in comparison to the other books in the series. I fell in love with the characters in the previous books and while none of the books had a truly happy ending, they had realistically optimistic ones. So to start this book with most of the characters unhappy was a hard thing to get through. It rarely takes me this long to read a novel.
But if you are in the same boat I was, I encourage you to push through. Hoffman ends the series that both wraps up loose ends and allows the story to continue on, even if it isn’t written down anymore.
