The set up is accomplished and the finale has been put in place.

B's character arc is almost complete, the evidence of her change from book one to here is overwhelming.

Multiple plot twists occur and I really can't guess what is going to go down in 'Goddess'.

"You destoryed the world"

This one had some answers and some shocking truths finally revealed to us.

But I think of most of the recent releases, this one impacted me the least. I just wish there were another 100 pages or so and a few more reveals. Hopefully the next one will give us even more.

I've been reading this series along with my 13 year old son. He is devouring them and loves everything by Darren Shan. Unfortunately, he is not an author I think writes YA books well. It feels as though it is written for older children but unlike some books that adults can enjoy as much as kids, I don't think these are well written enough. They don't hold back on the gore though and the story is intriguing enough! This is the penultimate book in the series and I will read the last.
