Being closer to 30 than 20, in certainly not the target audience for this book. This book seems to be geared toward early teens, as there is more action than character or plot development.

This book certainly delivers on action, as the characters travel all over this world in their adventures. Things die, aliens attack multiple times, the CIA gets involved etc. However, I found that I cared little about the characters, so when one died I didn't really pause. Also, because of all the action, is missing a full backstory and feels somewhat rushed. I think that's a personal preference that I don't like that kind of pace or story.

If you like something action packed, this is definitely the book for you. But for analytical types like me, it lacks some explanations and character development that would make this book the perfect teen-action-sci-fi story.

I received this book for free in return for my honest review.

First words after finishing this book....WOW!!!! I wasn't sure I would really get into this book because of having to do with aliens but I was pleasantly surprised on how much I actually enjoyed this book and kept wanting to turn the pages, even when I should have been in bed. The character development was written so extremely well, I couldn't help but to love the characters and feel bad for them, and root for them as well. This book had a lot of action and so many twists and turns that it kept me interested and wanting to find out what was going to happen next. There were some times when the main character, Alex, kept acting like a typical teenager and I wanted to smack her, but I could understand her motivations and why she did what she did half the time. I think that Ronan completed Alex as well and together, they made a heck of a team. The ending made me really sad and I was kinda screaming at my kindle "but why!!!!" until......I found out there is going to be another book coming out in 2019. But I cant wait that long!!!!!!!

Overall, I'm really pleased with this book. I loved it actually. I cant wait until the next part comes out to find out what happens with Alex and Ronan. A big thank you to the author for allowing me to read this and review it. You have certainly made a new fan and I am more willing to check out these types of books in the future!!

More like a 2.5, but it doesn't feel exactly right to round it up to a 3. Full review to come.

Alex is just trying to live her ordinary life. Go to school, work and help take care of her father. Then she meets this extremely handsome guy while delivering pizza. She feels a connection to him and she doesn't know why. After meeting him, everything changes. She has to be on the run from aliens that want to kill her.

The story is faced paced and keeps you wanting to read to see what happens next. The characters are endearing and you want them to end up together. The aliens the author described were also very interesting and I wish we got to see more interaction between the characters and the aliens. Overall I really liked this book. I would recommend you pick this book up!
