This book brought up an interesting understanding of how people who identify as Christian could stand behind a president who does not walk or live a very moral life. Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove touched on everything from perspectives on voters rights and women’s rights, to the religious rights influence on criminal punishment systems and our military strategies. This book is fairly short and reads more like a high level summary that briefly provides background of many of the people discussed through it, if sometimes not provided at all. For me , I felt like it relied too heavily on the assumption that the reader had knowledge of current politics as well as a familiarity with reading of the Bible. Since I have decided to stick my head in the sand regarding watching/reading the news since the latest election - I sometimes found myself lost with the current politics which lead to a lot of internet searching. Would rather have the author expand on this background and have a little bit longer book.
