My big takeaway from this travel memoir is the value of a hot water bottle. I also leaned a few things about tigers as the author smartly intersperses tiger facts, tiger tales, and tiger-related works of art among her personal stories.

Writing skilled and clear, but nothing really grabbed me. I didn't believe it was a quest for a wounded woman to regain something by seeing a tiger. It didn't spark for me. Life is too short to read books that don't hold you.

My ego is the only reason I finished this book.
