Everyone said this book is better than Song of Achilles, but I didn’t like it nearly as much. The writing is good, but it was kind of boring. The gods and goddesses were all vain, spiteful, and cruel and I don’t really enjoy books about people just being horrible to each other. I’ve not really been into myths very much and this did increase my interest a bit because she tells some of those stories quite well. Overall, it just didn’t get me engaged as I had hoped.

WOW. This book was out of my comfort zone as I would never usually read fantasy but a Greek goddess/witch? Come on. Took me an entire THREE WEEKS to read because it took so much brain power and forced me to take breaks (in a good way! I usually rush through books and never actually in internalize anything.) God, it was just so amazing. I never thought I would know this much about Greek Gods, but here we are! Absolutely iill be reading her other books!!!

Gostei muito do livro, de como a gente vê a Circe crescendo e se descobrindo com o decorrer da história, e como a história é DELA, e não só um reconto dos mitos que envolvem a Circe. Achei ela um pouco boba em alguns momentos, mas nada que diminuísse o livro como um todo. Queria dar 4,5, mas não acho justo tirar uma estrela por causa desse detalhe, então vamo de 5 estrelas
