Having received an Instant Pot for Christmas I was excited to get this cookbook to give me more ideas than just the standard recipes that come along with it. Having not yet built enough confidence to make up my own recipes using it this cookbook has been really helpful. The recipes I've tried have all turned out really well, and when I want to veer off on my own I've been able to look up a similar recipe and use it as the basic steps to create my own version.

Much like a slow cooker cookbook, many of these recipes have some required prep work, but I didn't find it to be overly involved and once everything is put together you can walk away and forget about it until it's done. Especially handy when making soup as on the stove you have to continue to monitor and stir it - not so here!

This might not be the book for you if you are looking for super simple recipes to throw together without any prep work, but for those who, like me, are happy to do a little prep work to get a great product - knowing you'll still be eating hours and hours earlier than if you useda slow cooker, it has been great.
