Nothing really ever happens in these books :( the writing is beautiful at times, but I'm not invested in the characters. Alizeh is annoying and weak, Cyrus' only personality trait is being obsessed with her, and Kamran's a little bitch.

This is the best book of the series so far in my opinion and I dedicate that to the fact that a lot less of it was written in Kamran’s POV. To make it even better, we even got a bit of Cyrus’ POV! I’m fully sold on Cyrus, I live for THE PINING. I really like that they aren’t together yet either, I was scared since half of the previous books were written in Kamran’s pov that it wouldn’t give the romance between Cyrus and Alizeh to develop nicely, but this has thankfully been avoided. I love the concept of the blood oath, it will make the next book very interesting. Don’t get me started on the hurt-comfort that I expect to be seeing in the next book.
