So Glad we are back in the safe hands of James Tynion IV . So glad the stupid Monster men finale didn't change anything at James Tynion's work at Detective comics .

A lot of good stuff happened here , with a opening that was very artistically represented for the readers to figure out what's going on in the story , following this up was the various strains that Bruce and Stephanie are facing as a result of Tim's death , this showed a broken Bruce Wayne and then we had the return of Luke Fox and finally to tie it all up a "Victim Syndicate" ... Absolutely brilliant .

Don't know why no one has ever tried to form a Victim syndicate in comics ever before and to do it with Batman is a masterstroke. The team of Ferreira , Barrows and co. bring back their top notch art style back to the Detective comics and the story focuses on each and every member of the New Batman Team , Details their hardship and then manages to depict the whole story of Victim Syndicate.

Before the 2 Monster Men issue I called Detective comics in Rebirth the BEST title in Rebith (even considering James Tynions Mentor - Scott Snyder's All star Batman run) this Book re instates the Title as the best ever and we are only on the first part of a new arc .

Totally forgot to mark this as read last week. Pretty disappointing after how excellent the previous regular issue was, but the story is clearly in transition so I'll give it some time to settle.

This was good, really good. I was a bit scared that Detective Comics would drop in quality after the excellent first arc and the mediocre crossover event but this proves to me that Tynion IV and Martinez knows that the strength of their story is their characters and the relationships between each other. A fantastic first issue of the second arc.
