NOOOOESSSS! *cries* That first part. NO NO NO.
Then the next one, Zenitsu, BOY you went from most annoying and whiny bitchy character to one of the greater ones. I love how he kicked some butt. Plus, I love the backstory!
And the rest was a fantastic mix of backstories, rivalry, growth, battles, action, and more. I am still not sure how I feel about another 6 volumes with just endless battles, but maybe it will work out if we keep it a nice mix of backstory/some fun/battles. I am proud of how much Tanjiro has grown and how he is able to stand his ground more. I remember how he was in the beginning, not too strong, but now? Kicks ass!

Aaaand so begins the death count for the Hashira. Fucking dammit, I don't want them to die! But realistically I know that at least some of them will die, but fuck realism I want my babies to live!!

I can say one thing with absolute certainty-I can't FUCKING WAIT for them to animate this final arc. All of the fights are going to look so fucking cool and badass, it's gonna be a feast for the eyes!

I was a little disappointed that Zenitsu's fight was so short, but the character development, backstory, and glow up we got in return was well fucking worth it. And yes, I did cry at his near death experience, might as well get used to it cuz I'll be crying a lot during this arc.

Giyu and Tanjiro's fight is so intense yet so fast paced, I already want to reread the volume so that I can stop and appreciate it more. The action is spot on and I love the combination of water breathing and hinokami kagura, it's beautiful, elegant, and powerful. The flashbacks Tanjiro had regarding his father were interesting as well. It's a shame he passed away before the series began, I would have liked to have seen him more in the present.

Needless to say, this arc is not gonna let up and the intensity is only going to increase as it goes on. I'm looking forward to reading more, but at the same time anxious for what's to come...

I need to stop saying who my favorite characters are in things because EVERY TIME those characters end up biting it. (T_T) It happened back in Vol. 8, and now in this volume, and it's probably going to happen AGAIN...my poor heart can't take much more of this...I literally have no idea who is going to come out of this alive and it's stressing me tf out. All I can say now is that if Inosuke ends up dying I really just might have to never read a book again.
Anyways this volume went hard and I loved it and I'm ready to keep binge reading the next few final books!
