Great background setting for Traveller, usable with all versions once you ignore the GURPS material. Possession of the original GURPS Traveller book would be useful for converting back to more usual Traveller data sets.
The setting is very different, as it pre-dates the Third Imperium, but because of the technology and the deep background links it is very recognisably Traveller.
