If you're a Mr. Show fan, read this book with the audio book version! It'll be funnier considering that most of the cast (minus Jill Talley and Tom Kenny) are reprising their appearances.

An introduction, 2 movie scripts, 3 sketches and some "studio notes" from "movie executives". 'Hooray For America!' was actually really brilliant, 'Bob and David Make a Movie' had it's moments, but ultimately I can see why it never materialized. It could all be a lot better, but I imagine after years of trying to get these made, they're probably read to just publish them and put it all in the past.

Bottom line, if you loved Mr Show, you'll like this. It's not quite on the same level, but the audiobook has most of the cast back, music, sound effects, etc.

This was given to me as a gift from someone that knows I love the Mr Show. You can tell why these scripts never made it to film as why they are funny I doubt anyone who does not already love Bob and David would ever see them.

Although I can see why Hollywood Said No, there's a lot of amusement to be had here, especially if you are a Mr. Show fan. And I recommend the audio version of this, because not only does most of the cast make an appearance, but there are some cute out takes, and the readers/performers make the most of the material.
